Why is the last day always the best? We headed down to the beach today at 4:00pm and it was perfect. It wasn’t hot, the waves were gone, we just had fun taking pictures and playing in the water. At this time of day, the tide is way out and you could walk and walk and walk and still not be under water. The kids loved it, no complaints about waves or to much sun! We always visit the pools on the way back to our place. We finally got back home at about 7:30.
Lettie woke up this morning and made a delicious breakfast for all of us-I suggest bringing Lettie on your next vacation! We went downtown and shopped for a bit and bought some shrimp, purses (don’t worry, it wasn’t me), sunglasses, a beautiful AND colorful dress, cover-up, maracas, masks, and soccer jerseys-all are definitely must haves! Our lives wouldn’t be the same without this stuff, ya know?!?!?!?!!
After eating our shrimp for lunch, Jill made our treat… peanut butter rice krispie treats with chocolate on top. I don’t think I need to mention how much I ate-you would be disappointed (I was disappointed). It was the best treat, especially on a hot day in Mexico. : ) It actually would have been perfect anywhere but maybe I sound more desperate since we are in Mexico? After lunch was our quiet time… (then the beach)
We visited Pollo Lucas for dinner (another favorite and must do when in Rocky Pointe) and left Jaci and Bailey in charge of the children. That was our day in a nutshell. Oh, I forgot to mention a very important part of the day-why it was the best… the kids slept until 8:00am. Now, that is a good day!
What is this? Oh, just something to behold. That’s all…
My turn… I was hoping I would have a chance. : )
Just being cheesy but I do like it.
Doesn’t this look exactly like a slow motion running picture? Exactly…
The kids were looking for animals and they think they found one.
This is what you look like when you eat one of those yummy treats that Jill made
Can you believe it, she actually ALLOWED me to take our picture. Yes, I am adding a self pic-had to do it. She looks so sweet.
Last but not least… a cold treat on a very hot day (Thrifty’s Ice Cream). Tim, note the flavor your son is eating!
We head home tomorrow. The drive goes by fairly quickly and I am sure (well, let’s just say that I will add it to my prayers tonight) that the kids will sleep on the way home. Our party has come to an end…
