Mama I’m a big girl now

You won’t believe it… This is a BIG moment for me.  I told the girls on that shopping trip last weekend that my only goal was to get a make-up lesson.  Cara volunteered but we never got around to it.  I was still determined so Saturday night was THE night… I learned how to put on some make-up.  I am only thirty something-it was about time!   Just for the record-on Saturday, November 15th, I officially went and had my eyes done.  Minda took me, like I was her daughter.  We told the guy (yep, a guy did my eyes-check out the lipstick lips on his cheek, he wanted that there.  What am I missing?) that I needed something simple, soft and more on the natural side.   What do you think?  Not me?

Then, Minda asked him if she could learn how to do "smoky eyes" by watching him do it to me.  So, we went from somewhat soft and natural (yeah right) to this…

Thanks Minda for helping me get to the next step in my life.  I am pretty sure this new make-up will last about 5+ yrs for me.

Oh, one last thing… I actually did wear it today-to church.  I tested the waters with church.  I ran into Minda in the hall and she laughed.  She had me close my eyes and wanted to get a good look-then laughed some more.  She said she couldn’t see anything.  She didn’t believe me that I put it on.  I suppose that was my goal-something "natural."     : )

  1. I’m SO happy that you got your make up session. The good news is you look great with it on and when you go natural.

  4. Seeing the picture of the macboy’s version of ‘natural’ and comparing it to your church version of ‘natural’, I have to say you were a bit conservative in your application… But I COULD see it… Barely… Change is hard, especially when it’s on your face! BTW, you look beautiful with makeup and without!!! Even the smoky eyes, you can pull it off. I’m truly jealous.
