Every once-in-a-while my kids will be lucky enough for me to document something pretty funny they said…
Me-“Zane, you are being a pill,” as he is screaming at the very tippy top of his lungs because he wants what Zoe has.
Zane-“I not a pilllllllllllllllllllllllll,” grunting and groaning while holding onto the “L”
Zoe- “mom, what does it mean when you are a pill?”
Me- “Zoe, that is a good question. I meant that he is being a punk and he needs to quiet his voice, he is hard to be around right now.”
Moments later
Gage-“Aunt Lisa, Zane is being a pill again.”
Zane- “I not a pill, you a pill…”
and so it goes on and on. I started thinking about the analogy-why do we say something is a pill if it is hard to deal with or just ornery? Pills usually fix things, smooth it out… I need to change that. I am sure Zoe is ultimately confused. : )
