We just returned from Ponderosa campground just outside of Payson.  It was a group of neighbors and friends-let’s see… I think there was 9 families there for the 4th of July.  It was great fun and the kids loved it, so many friends.  We came home and immediately started looking into the next trip.  I love the outdoors, being away from the distractions of life.  We came in the door and I wrote a list of things that needed to get accomplished like laundry, budget adjust, grocery shop, schedule appts, etc.  ARGH.  Zoe starts school this month so we don’t have much more time to be footloose and fancy free.  Thank you to friends for making the plan.  We had a great time and loved your company.

I am riding this weekend in a Show Low bike ride.  It will be a long ride for this lazy and retired booty but I look forward to the challenge, the weather and the fun.  I just received our cool jerseys today-they are super cool.  Pictures will come-don’t you worry. 

I also finished my website.  I feel a huge lift of responsibility.  I wasn’t responsible to anyone but myself and I had this ongoing list of stuff to do and complete.  The jerseys were on that list and my website was there too.  www.lisaheuerphotography.com That website-they aren’t easy and I have a new admiration for web people. I know it isn’t something I want to do!  : )

So, I must post something about Michael Jackson, how could I NOT?  He died.  Yep, I was in Oceanside, completely detached from the world and all of its noise and news and I received a text message with the info about MJ.  How could it be?  Weird.  I grew up listening to MJ and choreographing Thriller with my mom and sister.  He was such a part of my childhood, it was almost sad to me to know that he was gone.  I had a flood and flashback of memories.  Our time on earth is limited and precious. 

let’s see… what else?  I am reading a pretty darn good book, The Time Traveler’s Wife.  I just saw a preview and see that they are making it into a movie which also looks good.

I am rambling, I am aware of that…

I am heading to bed soon and determined to attack the pictures tomorrow.  I got out the camera (received it back from Canon the day before we left) on two occasions while we were camping.  I have yet to look at them.  Baby steps toward recuperation.  I still have wet laundry and smokey laundry and a budget to address…  (those dang 3 dots mean so much!)
