Somehow a tradition was started with Zoe’s carpool… Fridays are donut days. When we pick up the kids from school we give them donuts. What a great way to get the weekend started. Personally, on the weeks when I pick up, I use the donut as bribery for some better behavior. After school, the kids are so wired, loud and obnoxious that I do anything I can to keep the volume under control so I can hear myself drive. : )
Today, Sheila sent home pumpkin shaped donuts and included one for each of us. Zane and his buddy sat at the counter eating the topping only. Our afternoon got away from us and we went to the park and then a movie. When I came home, I noticed something that stood out like a sore thumb. It was a sure sign that Tim was not here!
I wrangled the kids to bed and finished some computer stuff and then headed to bed. I passed that “something” on the counter and just had to laugh because IT WAS STILL THERE. The picture was just taken-nearly midnight.
Tim, is your skin crawling?
Tim’s one priority in a clean house is a clean kitchen and namely the countertop. Who cares about the piles of crap in all sorts or corners and shelves… it is the countertop that matters. This countertop is clearly in need of some attention. Since Tim is so good at it, maybe I should let him have the honors! : ) Could I do it?
