Other Christmas break survival techniques

Zoe was allowed to have sleepovers for the first time during this break (call me a lame mom, I know).  I have been uncertain about sleepovers but I suppose I determined that it would be fine.  Zoe and Ellie woke up expecting me to have a plethora (love that word) of entertainment up my sleeve.  Collecting pine cones could only keep them busy for so long…  The cute little girls had their minds set on something creative, something that uses color, glue and the like.

“Where are the crafts, the paints, the games…?”  “ What are we going to do today?”  So, I gave them a way to earn money (Thanks for the idea Minda!) so THEY could BUY those types of things to help entertain them.  It was perfect for me and for them!  They earned money, I had them occupied for several hours, my work was done, I taught them many new things, they were happy, I was happy.  Is there a better mix?
