Why does everything have to do with time? Seriously, everything. (btw, I love when Zane says, “cirius mom.”)
I’ll get to that
not now, later
in a few minutes
when you grow-up
just a second
tomorrow
not yet
almost
not time yet
let’s get going
we’re late
hurry up
what time is it?
I can’t wait
just wait
in the future
this week
next week
next year
etc. etc. etc. etc.
the list could go on and on but let’s get to the point already. My everyday consists of at least 1/2 of these clusters of words. Why am I always driven by time and what the clock says? There are moments when I wonder how many times I have said, “In just a second…” It makes my shoulders tense to have to say that or hear myself say that. Don’t you ever want to be completely irresponsible, throw away the clock, be late and not care, not show up, lay in bed, go slow, not care about tomorrow, or next week? What would that be like? Some days I want to grab by the horns and tackle and some days I want to do the above-throw away the clock. : ) Can I have my cake and eat it too?
