Here it is, my words to my friends…
My dear friends,
I know this is so impersonal but I feel that I will not see you all and you will hear before I see you and want to tell you myself. : (
Anyhow, Zoe let the cat out of the bag today and announced that we are moving and its true. Tim can no longer be a remote employee for Microsoft. He has a new position and a new boss (which he loves and is so excited and happy about) and this new boss says remote employees don’t work for him. He has been burned in the past and has decided that he wants his team close to him. I suppose we knew this was inevitable "someday" as Tim wants to be with Microsoft for the rest of his life. He knew that being on the Microsoft campus was where he would end up-again, someday.
We’re not sure when exactly all this will take place (maybe if we keep putting it off or ignoring it, they will forget about it?) They are being very patient with Tim-they want him and his family (ha, that’s me) to be happy and comfortable. They have given us time to finish school and any family obligations (all the vacations I have planned) and work out the details with our house. We are selling or renting our house, whichever happens first. We anticipate our move to happen sometime in July or August.
I am scared and completely shocked that the "someday" has arrived. I was considering sending Tim by himself and coming home to visit us on the weekend but commuting is not an option. : ) I was just getting excited about clearing out my house and started to officially decorate and do the things that I had put off for so long. The good news about that is we don’t have lots of extra stuff that I don’t like anymore. : ) Let’s see, what else can I sell???? kids?
We love Microsoft and how our family has been treated and the wonderful benefits they provide. But, knowing that it needs to be, we are going to be excited and go ahead full force and know that this is part of life’s adventure! It will be another page in the Heuer book. One thing in life that is constant… CHANGE!
Living in Cortina/Queen Creek has changed me and my family. There is so much I have learned from each of you. We treasure our friendships! I have loved it here and Cortina is an awesome place to be. (If you know of a family looking to buy or rent in Cortina, please send them our way! One of the largest and uncertain tasks will be deciding what to do with our house!)
So, let’s talk about the good things! What do you know about WA that is awesome, exciting, beautiful and wonderful? Please share…!
