Zane

Preschool graduation

Well, he is not only 4, but he finished his first year in preschool.  Ms. Jodi had a graduation program-remember the first half of the year’s program he stood and did NOTHING… he was giddy and excited this time!

I will narrate!

Ms. Jodi lined them up and brought them out of the classroom (door on the right).  As you can see, Zane can barely contain himself.graduation2

Ms. Jodi was trying to get them all situated, spacing them properly and the first song was a “hello” song and they each had a partner.  I didn’t notice this when I was looking at him but when I saw this picture I found his funny finger thing-a nervous twitch… one finger is bent upward and the other on top pulling it more upward.  Strange but true…  BUT look at that smile!graduation3

Oscar, the school mascot (also known as Ms. Jodi’s dog) protects those kids and feels like part of the program.  He couldn’t decide if he liked to be front and center or part of the audience, he kept switching.  Please notice in the right picture below that Ms. Jodi is having just as much fun as the kids!  : )

Ms. Jodi wanted all to participate and cute little Britton wasn’t having much to do with it.   She joined the “stage” with the kids and was doing all she could to generate some participation but unfortunately her efforts were unyielding. (Not even sure that statement makes sense but it sounded a little more interesting than saying he still didn’t dance and sing.)  graduation4

The songs had jumping too.  See that… his feet are leaving the ground.  He is doing it!  Yeah for Zane! graduation5

Not only was there jumping, there was a “boogie on down” too.  Can you believe it… again-he does it!  Haven’t I said that miracles do happen?  I love his smile.  He is having the time of his life on that little stage.

graduation6

More happiness and participation.  Canon on the far left has found his reflection and Sophie on the far right is so happy. graduation7 The songs were about numbers and they must be on number 15!graduation8 Well, OK, I will agree that it may be picture overload.  I suppose I could have chosen ONE and told the story BUT since I have missed my son’s 4 year old birthday, I needed to make up for it.  My camera hasn’t been out much.  I have been spending my days, nights and everything in between focused on another task at hand- the move.  This too shall pass…
